CNAS Successfully held the “APEC Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA) Readiness Project in Energy Management System - ISO 50001 Training Workshop for Certification Body Staff or Auditors” in Beijing

 

 APEC Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA) Readiness Project in Energy Management System - ISO 50001 Training Workshop for Certification Body Staff or Auditors” was successfully held in Beijing by China National Accreditation Service for Conformity AssessmentCNAS,from 2014 August 12th to 15th. The overall “APEC Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA) Readiness Project” , which is initiated by Japan Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI),  consists of 4 sub-projects. This Beijing Training Workshop serves as one of them, and received great supports from General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (AQSIQ) and Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China(CNCA) . The participants are from China, Russia, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Vietnam, Papua New Guinea, Chile, Peru, Philippines, Mexico, Thailand, Korea, Japan, China Hong Kong and China Taiwan. The training courses are delivered by Ms. Deann Desai, the convener of ISO/TC242/WG1 and Dr. WANG Geng, the Vice Chair of ISO/TC242.

 

This training mainly focused on elaborating and explaining “ISO 50001:2011 Energy management systems – Requirements with guidance for use” and meanwhile introduced the other energy management systems related standards and its application, including  ISO/DIS50003 ,ISO/DIS50004 and ISO/DIS50006. Moreover, the trainers also briefly shared the newest information on ISO/DIS 17021-1 with the class. 

 

Through lecturing, group case studies, and class discussions, the participants have formed a better understanding on energy management systems related standards and techniques, as well as on the current situations of other countries’ energy management system implementation.

 

The organizing and services of this training are highly praised by both the trainer and trainees.
