Accreditation Seminar on NDT Field Held

July 13―16, 2010 saw the Accreditation Seminar on NDT field between China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and Taiwan Accreditation Foundation (TAF) successfully held in Hefei, Anhui Province. Over 20 delegates from CNAS, TAF and some inspection bodies for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) attended the seminar.

During the meeting delegates both from CNAS and TAF introduced the existing situation and requirement of accreditation assessment for NDT bodies, as well as the qualification management of related sectors. They also fully discussed the major issues of accreditation risk control. The technical experts of both parties had exchange on the accreditation activities in NDT, such as the accreditation description, the organization and implementation of proficiency testing and the equipment management requirement.

Through the exchange and discussion, both parties shared their experience of how to handle the major and difficult issues in the course of accreditation management of NDT bodies.

The seminar helps to raise the management level of ABs across the Taiwan Straits and accelerate the development of NDT accreditation.

After the meeting the delegates visited the experiment laboratories of refrigeration products, valve and pressure vessel.
