From July 6 to 11, 2015, CNAS had successfully undergone a 6-day peer evaluation by the joint peer evaluation team of Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC) and Asia-Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC). The peer evaluation team consisted of 11 peer evaluators from Singapore, Malaysia, USA, Japan, New Zealand, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippine, Hong Kong, and Chinese Taipei. They conducted thorough, deep, detailed and strict assessment on CNAS accreditation programs for conformity assessment bodies, which cover certification bodies of quality management system, environmental management system, food safety management system, information management system and product, test and calibration laboratories, medical test laboratories, inspection bodies, proficiency testing providers and reference material providers. During the evaluation, more than 100 CNAS accreditation files covering over 50 conformity assessment bodies and the files of more than 160 accreditation assessors had been sampled and checked by the peer evaluators. They had also interviewed with over 80 staff from varied level of CNAS. In addition, the peer evaluation team had witnessed 13 on-site assessments performed by CNAS accreditation assessment teams. The peer evaluation team had highly appreciated CNAS accreditation system and its operation. They concluded that CNAS management system is mature, running steadily and improves continuously, CNAS staff, assessors and technical experts have demonstrated good competence, high efficiency and team spirit, and CNAS has sufficient resources to sustain its accreditation. The performance of the CABs accredited by CNAS was also credited by the peer evaluators. |
