National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) Delegation Visited CNAS

Mr. Eric Lo, General Manager, Business Services at NATA, Michael Fraser, Manager International Liaison at NATA and Mr Julian Wilson, Sector Manager, Inspection at NATA visited CNAS on 21 Jun 2013. Mr. Xiao Jianhua, Chief Executive of CNAS and other relevant CNAS staff met the delegation.

The purpose of the NATA’s visit was to discuss the safety and quality issues in the fields of food and building materials. Both CNAS staff and NATA delegation provided lectures regarding to topics interested, such as the supply chains in specific industry and where the assessment conformity applies. Agreement for the future arrangement of the project was made at the end of the meeting.

The meeting between CNAS and NATA enhanced the cooperation between NATA and CNAS, and improved the function of accreditation facilitating international trading.
