Project of Cooperative Mechanism in Accreditation and Certification of SCO Accepted

Apr.13^th, 2011 saw the check and acceptance of the research project of Cooperative Mechanism in Accreditation and Certification of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in Beijing. The project was undertaken by CNAS under the authorization of General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of P.R.C (AQSIQ). Relevant leaders from AQSIQ, Certification and Accreditation Administration of P.R.C (CNCA), together with over 20 members of the Project Team attended.  

The Check and Acceptance Team consisted of 7 experts from different departments, such as Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, AQSIQ, CNCA and test bodies and certification bodies. Mr. Xiao Jianhua, Chief Executive of CNAS addressed at the meeting. On the behalf of the Research Team, Ms. Yuan Songhong, Director of General Affairs Dept. of CNAS, reported the technical methods and results of the project to the Check and Acceptance Team.

It was unanimously considered by the Check and Acceptance Team that the content and the analysis was thorough; the policy proposals put forward were prospective and applicable. It made a beneficial exploration for the trade facilitation and the all-around cooperation in quality inspection field between China and other members of SCO.
