CNAS and KAN Signed MOU in Jakarta, Indonesia |

The signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on technical cooperation between China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS) and National Accreditation Body of Indonesia (KAN) was held in Jakarta, capital of Indonesia on 24 March 2009.
More than 40 representatives from Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Trade, Department of Industry, National Standardization Agency of Indonesia, Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, KAN and business circles attended the signing ceremony. Mr. Liu Xin, Vice Chief Executive of CNAS, and Dr. Bambang Setiadi, Chairman of KAN, signed the MOU respectively.
Before signing the MOU, Mr. Liu Xin and Dr. Bambang Setiadi made speeches respectively representing their own accreditation body to expatiate the significance of signing the MOU on technical cooperation and to express their confidence in promoting the development of international accreditation activities，global trade, and trade between China and Indonesia.
A press conference was held after the signing ceremony. Reporters from primary Indonesia national news media presented many questions on the MOU.
